Jay-Z Shows Off New Clothing Line "Artful Dodger"

Last week Jay-Z and GQ Magazine hosted the official launch party of the Artful Dodger clothing collection. For those who remember, Jay-Z bought the clothing brand last year for $15 million and was set on giving the brand a much needed face-lift. While introducing the collection at New York’s Chelsea Art Museum, Jay claimed that his Artful Dodger line is “the alternative to everything that currently exists in the marketplace.”

Beyonce Packs Up Some Pounds For "Etta James" Movie

First Beyonce lost a bunch of weight for the movie Dream Girls, now she is about to gain some weight for the upcoming role playing "Etta James".

"I gained almost 15 pounds to play the role," Bey told People magazine. "It was way easier - and tastier - than having to lose so much weight for Dreamgirls.

The singer turned actress added that the role also helped her grow emotionally for her upcoming album I Am.

"Lyrically, it's deeper than what I've done before. I wasn't mature enough or old enough or in touch with myself enough, to do this type of album before. I didn't have the guts."

Eminem Tells All in "The Way I Am"

In "The Way I Am," the man born Marshall Bruce Mathers III takes readers into his painful childhood and adolescence and inside the studio and beyond as the former Detroit, Michigan, factory floor sweeper and short-order cook enters the rap game and becomes a worldwide hip-hop sensation.

The book is 200-plus pages worth of text, behind-the-scenes photographs and reproductions of Eminem's original lyric sheets -- hotel stationery and other scraps of paper he used to scratch out partial verses of the songs that would make him famous: From "My Name Is" and "Stan" to "Lose Yourself" and "Without Me."

Jennifer Hudson Offers Reward for Nephew's Return

I'm sure you all heard about the double homicide that happen last week involving Hudson's mother and brother. Her nephew is still missing, and FBI issued an Amber alert in hopes that the little boy is returned unharmed. For the first time since the slaying, Jennifer Hudson publicly spoke out and offered a 100,000 dollar reward for anyone who not only brings back the child, but who has any information leading to the kidnapping.

I believe they have the #1 suspect in custody which is Jennifer Hudson's sisters' boyfriend, but still no sign of the little boy. My heart and prayers go out to Jennifer, coming from someone who lost his father, I can feel her pain right about now. I hope justice is served for this, and I will be updating you guys on any further developments.

Jadakiss and the LOX were engaged in a long feud with several Roc-A-Fella Records artists, specifically Beanie Sigel and State Property, beginning in 2001. The two main diss tracks are "Fuck Beanie Sigel" by Jadakiss and "Fuck Jadakiss" by Beanie Sigel. The Lox and State Property would continue to diss each other on radio freestyles and mix-tape songs for the next few years.Jadakiss and Beans would then have an onstage battle. The problem was eventually resolved, and since then, the LOX and Beanie Sigel have collaborated on various tracks together, including being listed as collaborators on "Barrell Brothers" from Ghostface Killah's album "The Big Doe Rehab".

When the LOX left Bad Boy Records, the group's and each of its members' publishing was still owned by label head P. Diddy. The LOX released several tracks like "We Are The Streets" and "Blood Pressure" which allegedly were aimed towards P. Diddy. The group fought with him over royalties, debt issues and other things until 2005 when they briefly put their differences aside to perform with Jay-Z at his "I Declare War" concert. Afterward, they went on New York radio station Hot 97 to ask for their publishing, which was given to them by Diddy.

In 2004, Jadakiss and Fat Joe were featured in Ja Rule's "New York" anthem. In this song, Ja Rule took subliminal but obvious shots at 50 Cent. In turn, 50 Cent made a song titled "Piggy Bank" in which he disses Fat Joe and Jadakiss. This caused Jadakiss to release "Checkmate","Problem Child", and "Ms. Jackson." 50 Cent responded with the song "I Run NY."Jadakiss then challenged 50 Cent to a onstage battle in Madison Square Garden for 1 million dollars...50 Cent declined..stating that Jadakiss is not wealthy enough to put up that type of money. Jadakiss and 50 Cent's differences seemed resolved in February 2007, when Styles P called into HOT 97 and talked with 50 Cent and squashed the beef. In January 2008, 50 Cent said he has no beef with Jadakiss. As of August 28th, 2008 Jadakiss and 50 cent have officially ended their beef and now have plans to record together. Awwwww.

"Why do niggas push pounds of powder? Why did Bush knock down the towers?" .In the music video for "Why", a man holds up a picket sign reading "BUCK FUSH".

O'Reilly took the position that the President should be allowed to sue Jadakiss for slander. The track was eventually banned on some radio stations or played with the lyrics in question censored.

Kanye West Premiers 808's & Heartbreaks In LA

Shot out to Hiphopgame.com for this one..... On Tuesday Night, Mr. West performed tracks off his fourth album titled 808's & Heartbreak in a loft in Los Angeles. Instead of delving into some thought provoking lyrics with witty punchlines, Mr. West was found crooning to the use of auto-tune.

While many rap fans aren't approving Kanye's latest material, the rap star considers this project to be very personal to him. “These are pieces of real life that I’m putting out for people to judge,” West said, and then ridiculed how it might be rated by critics. “It’s from my heart. I don’t give a fuck if someone rates it ‘hot’ or ‘not.’ I’m here to bring positivity that cannot be judged. It’s like judging a grandmother’s love, and someone says ‘Your grandmother gets two and a half mics.’ Or, ‘You grandmother didn’t sell a million the first week.’”

On this album, fans can expect more singing, and no samples as Mr. West has decided to conquer the charts and hearts of fans vocally.

Mr. West has made it clear that he will drop another album in June, but as for now, he's prepping for his Novemeber 25th release of 808's & Heartbreak.

Last and final debate has concluded

Good Morning ladies and gentlemen! The fourth and final debate has ended and now it's time to vote. For those of you who were interested enough to watch the debate, it was obvious that McCain had a vendetta. He really made sure that he put Obama in the defensive corner for most of the night, and went in and attacked controversial points against Obama. Although he held some valid points, some of it sounded like some straight up lies, or should I say borderline buffoonery to make him look bad. Most people in Obama's position would have reacted in a vicious manner, and played Tit for Tat.Obama kept his cool and layed out each of his counters in a non-chalant manner with medium temperament. Although I felt that Obama was flat for most of the debate, I respect that he still layed out valid points instead of making up a story. The only thing I question is why Obama did not bring out allegations that Sarah Palin is under, and why different scandals that surrounded McCain during this whole campaign.

Look at Dream? Young Joc? or even BBD? it's almost like he stays with them while they are burning hot, and once the coolness comes in, he is out? Tell you the truth I really do feel that Aubrey deserved to get kicked out of the group because she went to Hollywood, but on the flipside I think Aubrey added an edge to Danity Kane that was very much needed. Will there still be a Danity Kane? I doubt it! but we will have to see! Sorry to see D-woods go, but something tells me that she would be better as a solo artist anyway.

Windows Mobile On iPhone

Call it what you will: immoral, unethical, unholy—it appears that a Norwegian developer by the name of Erik Kristiansen has actually managed to pull off Windows Mobile running on an iPhone. The video of the OS is booting on a 3G is convincing enough, but the extremely bizarre exchange between this "reporter" and Kristiansen at the myPhone2008 conference is enough to bring its validity into question. We shall find out soon enough—Kristainsen claims that the hack is currently in beta with a January release in the works.

New PS3 and PSP Official Firmware Details Surface

The official Playstation blog has dropped details of the upcoming PS3 2.50 firmware update, which finally includes an auto shut-down power saving feature for connected wireless controllers and the console itself. After having controllers die on a regular basis, this is a welcome update. The update will also include a high-quality mode for the official Bluetooth headset, scene search stills during video playback, and a number of other enhancements. No release date, but PSP firmware 5.0 (the PSN store update) which is also detailed in the announcement is expected to drop October 15, and the headset is set for an October 14 release, so sometime this week is a safe guess.

Following the recently leaked material from Jay-Z apparently taking some shots at DJ Khaled and Fat Joe, both Fat Joe and Jay-Z were quick to issue statements.

Fat Joe Said:
“I have no beef whatsoever with Jay-Z. In fact, we share a common goal…helping to get Barack Obama elected on Nov. 4th.”
